My Instagram Review: Post 9

Due to the current circumstances, I decided to start posting some archival images that I have always loved but that didn’t have a place in my projects. I thought this would be a nice change for followers and also illustrate the more causal, playful element of my work. I simply captioned the work with the subject’s name and the date it was taken because that’s all there is. I want viewers to take their own view of it, not informed by a caption. i also think the pop of colour from this image made it stand out on my instagram and differ from the white borders.

Overall I’m glad to be posting work like this as I feel so many of my images are portraits taken in everyday life, without a concept and simply for aesthetical reasons. I also really enjoy looking through my images and deciding which I’d like to share and also view some that I had previously deemed rubbish as interesting and exciting.
